In a world where women are often underpaid, not taken seriously, and often discriminated against both domestically and internationally we tend to think, "What changes can they make?" But one of the most transformative alterations to our world has come in the form of female leadership and innovation. And unsurprisingly, India's contribution to this burgeoning change is significant as well.
From incredible women like Joan of Arc and Elizabeth I to modern-day icons like Malala Yousafzai, women have always been a force to be reckoned with. But what is it about women that sets them apart from men and allows them to change the world time and time again?
Women have always been at the forefront of change. From suffragettes to civil rights activists, women have always fought for what they believe in and made the world a better place in the process. Today, women are still leading the charge for change all over the globe. Here are just a few examples of how women are making a difference.
In India, women are working to end child marriage and give girls access to education. In Malawi, women are starting businesses and becoming farmers to support their families. In South Africa, women are leading the fight against gender-based violence. And all over the world, women are speaking out and standing up for what they believe in.
There are many things that women can do to change the world, but one of the most important is to ensure that girls and young women have access to education. This is vital not only for the empowerment of women but also for the advancement of society as a whole.
Equality in education is something that has been fought for since ancient times. In more recent history, women have made great strides in this area. However, there is still much work to be done. In many parts of the world, girls are still not given the same opportunities as boys when it comes to education. This needs to change.
Providing girls and young women with access to education are one of the most effective ways to promote gender equality and empower women. When women are educated, they are more likely to be able to participate fully in society and make a positive contribution to their communities.
Women who are educated also tend to be healthier and have fewer children. They are more likely to get married later in life and have fewer children overall. This has a positive impact on society as a whole, as it reduces poverty and helps to improve economic growth. Many organizations are working hard to promote girls.
There are many examples of women in leadership roles who have made a positive impact on the world.
One example is Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Another example is Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan environmentalist and political leader who founded the Green Belt Movement, which has planted over 51 million trees in Africa.

Women's rights are an important part of the fight for equality and social justice. Throughout history, women have been discriminated against and oppressed, but we have also made great strides towards achieving equality. Today, women are still fighting for our rights and a better world for all.
There are many ways that women can change the world. We can fight for our rights, work to end discrimination and oppression and support other women in their struggles. We can also use our voices to raise awareness about the issues that matter to us and to make our voices heard. When we come together, we can make a real difference.
There's no question that women have been making waves in the workforce over the past few decades. And it's not just in traditionally female-dominated professions like nursing or teaching. Women are now working in all sorts of industries and occupying all sorts of positions, from CEOs to construction workers.
There are several reasons for this increase in women in the workforce.
For one, more and more women are getting college degrees.
Women now outnumber men when it comes to college enrollment.
Additionally, many women are delaying marriage and motherhood until later in life, which means they have more time to focus on their careers.
Whatever the reason, there's no doubt that women are changing the face of the workforce. And that's a good thing! Studies have shown that companies with a higher proportion of women employees tend to be more profitable. So not only are women good for the economy, they're good for business too!
There's no question that women have always been a force to be reckoned with in politics. From the early days of the suffragette movement to today, women have fought for and won some incredible political victories. Here are just a few examples of how women have changed the world through politics.
In 1917, women in Russia were finally granted the right to vote after years of campaigning by suffragettes. This was a major victory not just for Russian women, but for women all over the world.
In 1963, US congresswoman and civil rights leader Barbara Jordan made history when she became the first African American woman to deliver a keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention. Her stirring words helped pave the way for other black women to enter politics.
In 1979, Margaret Thatcher became the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Her time in office was marked by sweeping economic reforms and a strong stance on law and order. She proved that women could be just as tough as any man in politics.
These are just a few examples of how women have changed the world through politics. There's no doubt that we'll continue to see more amazing achievements from women in politics in the years to come.
There's no doubt that women have made great strides in the media over the past few decades. But there's still a long way to go. Here are a few things we'd like to see change−
More female directors. In 2015, only 7% of the top 250 films were directed by women. This is an abysmal number, and it means that we're not seeing stories from a female perspective as often as we should be.
More non-white female directors. The lack of diversity within the directing ranks is even more pronounced when you look at race. In 2015, only 1% of the top 250 films were directed by black women. This needs to change.
More female-led films. While we're on the topic of directing, it's worth noting that only 4% of the top 250 films were led by women in 2015. This means that 96% of the highest-grossing films were about men and their stories. We need more movies that focus on women and their experiences.
More strong female characters. When women are present in movies, they often play secondary or supporting roles. In 2015, only 31% of the top 250.
There's no doubt that women have changed the world. From leading nations to running businesses, women have made their mark on society. But what about women's health?
While there's still a long way to go in terms of achieving gender equality, women's health has come a long way in recent years. Thanks to advances in medical science and awareness-raising campaigns, women are now living longer and healthier lives than ever before.
Of course, there are still many challenges facing women when it comes to their health. But with more and more women speaking out about their experiences and fighting for change, there's no doubt that things are moving in the right direction.
There's no doubt that women have changed the world for the better. We've seen it throughout history, and we're seeing it now more than ever. Women are powerful, passionate, and determined to make a difference. We'll continue to fight for equality and justice until we see real change in the world. And we won't stop until every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential.
