Terms of Use

The rules for using Tutorix AI Tutor, in plain words.

1. About these terms

Tutorix AI Tutor (the "Service") is run by TutorialsPoint India Private Limited (CIN U80904AP2014PLC094598), Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("Tutorix", "we", "us"). The Service is available at ai.tutorix.com, on www.tutorix.com and in the Tutorix app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Tutorix

Students under 18 may use Tutorix only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian who registers or pays for a student accepts these terms on the student's behalf and is responsible for the student's use of the Service.

3. Your account

  • Give correct details when you register, and keep your login private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • An account is for one student and can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on another device ends the earlier session.
  • Accounts must not be shared, sold or transferred. We may suspend or close an account that is shared or misused, without refund.

4. Free topic and demo

  • After signing in, the first topic of every subject is free.
  • New users also get a demo period. We decide its length; it is not fixed and may differ from user to user.
  • If you need more time to decide, you can ask us for a further demo. We may grant it, more than once, at our discretion.

5. Activation and validity

  • After the demo, you need a paid plan to continue. The plan covers the class and subjects shown at checkout.
  • A plan is valid for 365 days from the date of activation and ends automatically after that. It cannot be paused, extended or carried forward.
  • The class chosen at activation cannot be changed during the 365 days. To study a different class, a separate plan is needed.

6. Payments and refunds

  • Prices and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Prices may change at any time; a change does not affect a plan you have already paid for.
  • You get the free topic and the demo so you can try the Service before paying. For this reason, once a plan is activated, the payment is not refundable, fully or partly, including for unused days. See our Refund Policy.

7. AI-generated content

Lessons, answers, practice questions, marking and reports on Tutorix are generated by artificial intelligence. We check them, but they may still contain mistakes. Tutorix supports a student's studies and does not replace school, teachers or the official syllabus. We do not guarantee any marks, results or admissions.

8. Fair use

Use Tutorix only for your own personal study. You must not:

  • copy, record, share, sell or republish any Tutorix content;
  • use bots, scrapers or other tools to extract content;
  • try to misuse the AI tutor, get around its safeguards, or make it produce harmful content;
  • upload anything unlawful, abusive or harmful, or disrupt the Service for others.

If these terms are broken, we may suspend or close the account without refund. Where possible, we will tell you the reason by email.

9. Our content

All content, software, names and logos on Tutorix belong to TutorialsPoint or its licensors. Your plan gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for study during the plan's validity, and nothing more.

10. Privacy and communication

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. To run the Service, what a student types or says may be processed by trusted AI and speech providers; voice features need microphone permission. We may contact you by email, SMS, phone or WhatsApp about your account and study progress, and with offers. You can opt out of promotional messages by writing to contact@tutorix.com.

11. Changes to the Service and these terms

We may add, change or remove features at any time. If we stop offering the class you paid for before your plan ends, we will give you access to equivalent content or refund the unused part of your plan.

We may also update these terms; the updated version applies from the date it is posted here. If you continue to use Tutorix after an update, you accept the updated terms. An update does not shorten a plan you have already paid for.

12. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". It depends on internet access and third-party services, so we cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the plan concerned.

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

14. Complaints and contact

If you have a complaint, write to our Grievance Officer, Manish Dandotikar (HR Head), at contact@tutorix.com. We will acknowledge it within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
